There may be required documentation to prove your income, bills, marital status, and other information. If so, your case worker will explain what documents you need to provide and how to submit them. Depending on how quickly you need assistance, you may either mail in the documents, deliver them in person, or even scan or fax them directly to your case worker.
  5. Once your application and all supporting documents are in the hands of your case worker, he or she will process the information and get in touch with you regarding your results. Depending on the complexity of your case this could take a few weeks or just a few days. Your case worker will let you know what types of assistance for which you were approved and how to go about beginning to receive them. He or she will also be available to you in the future for any answers or assistance you might need.
